The Ohio in the Civil War Network's main purpose is to document available historical items and details relating to Ohio in the Civil War. This network is a user based community and the archive is built by you. This means the rosters, the images, the documents, the graves are all submitted by members. Regimental moderators will monitor submissions to assure the utmost accuracy. However, as a community it is everyones responsibility. The network's archive is a first step in uncovering lost and forgotten documents stuffed away in the corner of a desk, book shelf or attic. The structure of the archive revolves around categories and listings.
Groups can be joined or established by any registered member. It is a way to organize members into various fields of expertise. All future or current regimental moderators must establish a group. All researchers can join the group. Each group is integrated with the Events List and the Forum. When a group is established, a PRIVATE category in the forum is automatically created for your group. It's all about networking and collaboration. Moderators and members of the group can create discussions, post events, post bulletins and announcements and more.
This
network is free to join thanks to the hard work and love of preservation
from our existing members. All that we ask is for your active participation.
